Daniel Kobran

Daniel Kobran is an active angel investor and the founder of a stealth artificial intelligence company based in New York City. He previously co-founded Paperspace in 2014, serving as Chief Operating Officer to build a high-performance cloud computing and machine learning infrastructure platform for developers. After participating in Y Combinator's Winter 2015 batch, he helped raise over $35 million in venture funding to scale the startup's graphics processing unit capabilities. In July 2023, DigitalOcean officially acquired Paperspace for $111 million in cash to expand its cloud offerings. As an early-stage technology investor, Kobran has allocated capital to back several prominent artificial intelligence startups, including Anthropic, Runway ML, and Etched. His current professional focus centers on developing new computing systems and funding early-stage infrastructure ventures, building upon his initial architectural studies at the University of Michigan.
