DANIEL GIBBON

Daniel Gibbon is the Co-Founder and CEO of Edexia, an education technology startup based in Brisbane, Australia. Before launching his current venture, he served as the Founder and CEO of 99 Plus Tutoring, scaling the business to $200,000 in annual recurring revenue within one year at age 18. Gibbon pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering alongside provisional entry into the Doctor of Medicine program at The University of Queensland. He recently led Edexia into the Y Combinator Winter 2025 cohort, securing $500,000 in funding after declining $2 million in offers from Australian venture capital firms. Additionally, he is a recognized TEDx speaker who advocates for the integration of artificial intelligence in academic environments. His current focus centers on developing AI-driven assessment co-pilots that assist educators with grading essays and providing student feedback.
