Daniel DiPietro

Daniel DiPietro is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Lumenary, an artificial intelligence and optimization company. Prior to this role, he worked as a quantitative developer at Jane Street, where he built capital allocation optimizations for billions of dollars in assets and developed options trading tools that executed over $100 million in annual trades. While completing his academic studies at Dartmouth College, DiPietro established a unique scientific background by authoring a best-selling botanical textbook focused specifically on carnivorous plants. Beyond his financial engineering and botanical work, he is an active machine learning researcher who has produced multiple first-author publications for top-tier academic conferences, including NeurIPS and CoRL. His career currently focuses on scaling Lumenary's commercial operations by leveraging his multidisciplinary background in high-frequency quantitative finance, advanced artificial intelligence research, and complex systems architecture.
