Daniel Chalef

Daniel Chalef is the founder of Zep AI, an artificial intelligence memory infrastructure platform, and is currently based in Seattle, Washington. He established the technology company in 2023 to address context window limitations for large language models and subsequently secured an $8 million seed funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners in May 2024. Prior to his current venture, Chalef served as a late-stage operator at SparkPost, where he contributed to the email infrastructure provider's scaling efforts leading up to its acquisition by MessageBird. He also previously founded and served as the chief executive of KnowledgeTree, an enterprise document management platform that culminated in a successful corporate acquisition. His professional career spans software engineering, data science, and corporate development, with a current focus on building developer tools and infrastructure for enterprise artificial intelligence applications.
