Dan Han

Dan Han is the Co-Founder of Aleph Lab, an early-stage artificial intelligence startup currently based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing his current venture in 2025, he spent six years working as a machine learning engineer at Google and YouTube, specializing in the development of advanced AI applications. Han built his technical foundation by earning a Master of Science in Machine Learning from UC San Diego, after completing his undergraduate studies in computer science at Seoul National University. As a two-time startup founder, he recently led Aleph Lab into the Y Combinator Fall 2025 batch, operating as a single-person team under the direct mentorship of primary partner Garry Tan. His current professional focus centers on engineering AI-driven language learning applications for children by integrating educational software tools into popular interactive video games like Minecraft.
