Dan Carroll is a San Francisco-based technology entrepreneur and the former Chief Product Officer of Clever who is currently exploring new ventures. He began his professional career as a middle school science teacher and Director of Data and Technology for STRIVE Prep in Denver through the Teach For America program. After experiencing software integration challenges firsthand, he co-founded Clever in 2012 and scaled the educational technology platform to serve over 90,000 United States K-12 schools with 20 million monthly active users. Backed by prominent venture capital firms including Y Combinator, Sequoia, and Founders Fund, the company raised $43 million in funding before being acquired by Kahoot! for $500 million in May 2021. The Harvard University graduate maintains a primary professional focus on K-12 education technology, product leadership, and building scalable digital learning infrastructure.
