Dan Amiga is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Island, an enterprise browser security platform based in Dallas, Texas, and Tel Aviv, Israel. Before launching Island, he founded the threat isolation startup Fireglass, which Symantec acquired in 2017 for an estimated $250 million, leading to his subsequent role as Vice President. His earlier career includes technical positions at Check Point Software Technologies and service in the Israel Defense Forces' Unit 8200, complemented by a computer science degree from Tel Aviv University. Under his leadership, Island reached a $3 billion valuation following a $175 million Series D round backed by Sequoia Capital, scaling to over 500 employees and $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Amiga currently focuses on expanding the enterprise browser category while operating as an active angel investor across the broader software and cybersecurity sectors.
