Cyriel Notteboom

Cyriel Notteboom is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Radical, an aerospace startup based in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 2022 alongside Chief Executive Officer James Thomas, the company develops high-altitude, solar-powered aircraft designed for continuous stratospheric flight to enable zero-emissions earth observation and connectivity. Under his technical leadership, Radical participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2023 batch and subsequently raised a $4.5 million seed round in 2024 to expand its engineering team to a core staff of four to six employees. Prior to launching his own venture, Notteboom spent six years as an engineer at Amazon Prime Air, where he focused on mechanical design, structural analysis, and hardware optimization for autonomous delivery drones. His current focus centers on advancing autonomous flight systems and persistent aerial infrastructure for the commercial aviation and aerospace sectors.
