Colin Barceloux

Colin Barceloux is the CEO of Lively Root, a consumer home and gardening eCommerce platform, and is currently based in San Diego, California. Prior to assuming this executive role in 2020, he operated as a three-time startup founder, initially launching BookRenter.com in 2006 to pioneer the online textbook rental industry. He subsequently founded Techmate, an on-demand consumer technology support service that participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2016 batch, and Axius, a venture-backed smart home cybersecurity platform. Barceloux holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from Santa Clara University and serves as an active mentor for the Stanford GSB StartX accelerator program. Throughout his career, he has successfully secured institutional venture capital backing for three distinct consumer technology startups. His current professional focus remains on scaling retail eCommerce platforms and expanding digital consumer services.
