Christie Lagally is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rebellyous Foods, a food technology company based in Seattle, Washington. Before launching the Y Combinator-backed startup, she accumulated nearly 20 years of engineering experience, primarily working as a mechanical engineer and project manager at Boeing. She also previously served as a Senior Scientist at the Good Food Institute, analyzing the technical requirements for alternative protein production. Under her leadership, Rebellyous Foods secured a $9.5 million equity funding round in February 2023 to deploy its proprietary production equipment. By early 2024, the enterprise expanded its plant-based chicken products into the National School Lunch Program across more than 200 school districts. Holding five patents in manufacturing technology, Lagally currently focuses on applying aerospace engineering principles to automate and scale the affordable production of alternative meats.
