Christian Beedgen

Christian Beedgen is a technology entrepreneur and the Co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer of Sumo Logic, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to establishing the cloud-native machine data analytics company in 2010, he spent nearly a decade at the cybersecurity firm ArcSight, serving as an early software engineer, Director of Engineering, and eventually Chief Architect. During his tenure at Sumo Logic, he guided the enterprise software platform through more than $300 million in venture capital funding and a September 2020 initial public offering on the Nasdaq. The company was subsequently acquired and taken private by the private equity firm Francisco Partners for approximately $1.5 billion in May 2023. With over eighteen years of industry experience, Beedgen holds multiple patents and focuses his career on building large-scale distributed systems, log management, and enterprise cybersecurity architectures.
