Christian Almenar

Christian Almenar is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Monad, a security data platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Prior to establishing his current venture in 2020, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Intrinsic, a serverless security startup that was acquired by VMware in 2019. Following the acquisition, Almenar transitioned into a product and engineering leadership role within the security division of VMware. Under his leadership, Monad has developed systems to route information from various security tools into data warehouses, successfully raising a $17 million Series A funding round in July 2021. This financing was led by Index Ventures, with additional backing from prominent venture capital firms including Sequoia Capital. His career remains focused on advancing cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps through scalable enterprise data solutions.
