Chris Robson

Chris Robson is the CEO and Co-founder of Wyvern, a space data company specializing in hyperspectral Earth observation from low Earth orbit, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He previously served as the Project Manager for AlbertaSat, where he directed the mechanical systems development and launch of Ex-Alta 1, the province's first satellite. Robson guided Wyvern through the Y Combinator Winter 2022 batch and subsequently secured more than $7 million in seed funding to advance the startup's commercial growth. Under his leadership, the company successfully deployed its initial Dragonette constellation of commercial satellites into orbit aboard SpaceX Transporter missions throughout 2023. Holding a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in orbital design and analysis from the University of Alberta, his current focus centers on scaling aerospace technology, hyperspectral imaging systems, and commercial satellite design.
