Chris Field is the co-founder of Clerky, a legal technology company headquartered in Palo Alto, California, that automates paperwork for early-stage startups. Since launching the Y Combinator alumni software startup alongside Darby Wong in 2011, his platform has facilitated legal documentation for thousands of businesses that have collectively raised over $100 billion in venture capital, including DoorDash, Instacart, and Coinbase. Before transitioning into entrepreneurship to streamline startup formation and venture financing, he worked as a corporate attorney in the Technology Companies Group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. His earlier career included management and operations roles in the technology sector at TippingPoint Technologies and MPC Computers, formerly Micron Electronics. Field holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and history from Stanford University, as well as a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
