Chris Carde

Chris Carde is the Co-Founder and CEO of HeyCharge, a venture-backed electric vehicle charging infrastructure startup based in Munich, Germany. Before launching the company in 2020, he built his executive background by holding various product management and engineering leadership positions at major global technology and automotive corporations including Google, Mercedes-Benz, and E.ON Energy. Under his strategic direction, HeyCharge successfully participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2021 batch and subsequently secured a $4.7 million seed funding round led by BMW i Ventures in early 2022. Earlier in his professional career, he conducted academic research and applied engineering work focused on hybrid vehicle technology at the UC Davis Hybrid Electric Vehicle Center. Carde currently focuses on scaling accessible clean energy infrastructure and innovative mobility solutions specifically designed for multi-dwelling residential buildings and subterranean parking garages lacking internet connectivity.
