He spent seven years as a Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), one of Silicon Valley's most storied venture capital firms. During his tenure at KPCB, he was instrumental in identifying and supporting several high-profile companies that went on to become household names. Prior to his venture capital career, Chi-Hua Chien demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by co-founding and serving as CEO of Xulu Entertainment, a mobile software company that was later acquired by Openwave. His early career also included a stint at McKinsey & Company, where he honed his strategic consulting skills. Academically, Chi-Hua Chien holds an MBA from Stanford University and dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, encompassing a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BS in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
