Charlie Holtz

Charlie Holtz is the Co-founder and CEO of Melty, an AI-powered code editor based in San Francisco, California. In this current role, he oversees company direction and product development for the developer tool startup, which he launched as part of Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch. Prior to establishing Melty in early 2024, Holtz led growth initiatives at the artificial intelligence startup Replicate, where he developed viral prototypes and applications that successfully reached millions of users. Earlier in his career, he worked as a quantitative developer at the global asset management firm Point72. He holds a degree in cognitive neuroscience from Brown University, where he notably met his co-founder Jackson while playing Ultimate Frisbee as an undergraduate. Holtz's professional background centers on building highly adopted artificial intelligence applications, software engineering tools, and complex quantitative finance systems.
