Chang She

Chang She is the Co-founder and CEO of LanceDB, an open-source vector database company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He established the firm in 2022 to develop data infrastructure for artificial intelligence applications, securing an $8 million seed funding round led by CRV. Previously, She served as Vice President of Engineering at Tubi, where he designed the machine learning stack and scaled the engineering team by three times. Earlier in his career, he was the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of DataPad, which Cloudera acquired in 2014, and worked as a quantitative analyst at AQR Capital Management and Barclays. Holding degrees from MIT, he is also recognized as the second major contributor to the open-source Python library pandas. His current focus centers on advancing machine learning infrastructure and scalable vector search technology.
