Chandru Shanumugasundaram

Chandru Shanmugasundaram is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Burnt Group, an early-stage technology startup based in the United States. Operating under the brand name burnt, he currently leads a three-person engineering team participating in a Summer 2025 accelerator cohort. In this executive role, he directs the development of artificial intelligence agents specifically designed to optimize supply chain and logistics operations for commercial food distributors and suppliers. Prior to founding this venture, Shanmugasundaram established a technical track record by engineering scalable backend infrastructure and software applications across multiple distinct industries. His prior software development experience encompasses building complex backend systems for enterprise applications within the legal technology, developer tools, commercial banking, and restaurant sectors. Ultimately, Shanmugasundaram combines his extensive systems architecture expertise with emerging machine learning capabilities to modernize legacy workflows within the global food supply chain.
