Catheryn Li

Catheryn Li is the Co-founder and CEO of Simple AI, an artificial intelligence startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Alongside co-founder Zach Kamran, she participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch and raised a $14 million seed round to develop AI voice agents for inbound sales calls. These product-trained agents are designed to handle business inquiries and have demonstrated a 30% improvement in conversion and upsell rates compared to human representatives. Previously, Li spent four years leading the software engineering team at Y Combinator, overseeing the technical development of Startup School, the YC Library, and the Co-Founder Matching platform. She holds degrees in computer science and mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her current focus centers on leveraging her technical expertise to build advanced artificial intelligence solutions for enterprise sales operations.
