Caroline McKeon

Caroline McKeon is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Alga Biosciences, an agricultural climate technology startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She previously trained as a physical chemist specializing in quantum mechanical electronic structure theory, completing her advanced scientific research and academic education at the University of California, Berkeley, and Haverford College. At Alga Biosciences, McKeon directs the scientific development of proprietary kelp-based cattle feed additives designed to significantly reduce methane emissions from ruminant livestock populations. Under her technical leadership, the company successfully participated in the Y Combinator accelerator program as part of the Winter 2022 batch to scale its commercial agricultural solutions and operations.
