CARL CORTRIGHT

Carl Cortright is the Founder and Principal Engineer at Excel Holdings and the Founder of Thrive. He previously served as the CEO and Cofounder of Flyflow, a Y Combinator-backed startup whose team was acquired by Rippling, and as the CTO and Cofounder of Coherent, a web3 data infrastructure company that raised $5.5 million. Earlier in his career, Cortright worked as a Software Engineer at Retool and a Senior Software Engineer at Coinbase, where he developed systems processing trillions in value and led approximately $5 million checks across 40 direct investments for Coinbase Ventures. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from CU Boulder, where he also serves as an advisor to Campus Computing. Cortright currently focuses on managing a portfolio of bootstrapped software products and making angel investments in early-stage technology startups.
