Carissa Castro

Carissa Castro is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Logica, a visual and collaborative financial modeling software platform based in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to establishing this business-to-business financial technology startup, she spent ten years at the global food corporation Cargill, serving in multiple management and operations roles. During her decade-long corporate tenure, she gained extensive practical experience in complex financial modeling, dynamic planning, and corporate forecasting. Castro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and subsequently completed an online certification program in software development. Alongside co-founder Leandro Castro, she successfully guided Logica through the Y Combinator accelerator program as a participant in the Winter 2021 batch. Her current professional focus centers on scaling Logica's patent-pending visual modeling technology to streamline budgeting and financial planning processes for corporate finance teams.
