Caleb Peffer is the co-founder and CEO of Firecrawl, an artificial intelligence data infrastructure platform based in San Francisco, California. Prior to his current role, he co-founded Mendable.ai, an AI-powered search tool that participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2023 batch, and previously established Churnkey, a software company ultimately acquired by Paddle. Under his leadership, Firecrawl pivoted in early 2024 to focus on web scraping APIs for large language models, scaling to serve over 10,000 developers and generating more than $2 million in annual recurring revenue. The platform processed one million monthly scrapes by November 2024 and subsequently secured a $5 million seed funding round in March 2025 to accelerate its version two rollout. Peffer maintains a primary focus on building scalable developer tools and data extraction infrastructure for the broader artificial intelligence ecosystem.
