Bu Kinoshita

Bu Kinoshita is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Resend, an email infrastructure platform in San Francisco, California, launched through Y Combinator's W23 batch. Prior to co-founding this developer venture, he served as the first engineering hire at WorkOS, where he built the initial MVP and scaled the platform to serve over 200 B2B SaaS customers. During his tenure, he helped build WorkOS into a Series B company valued at $500 million before transitioning to focus on his own scalable infrastructure projects. As a prolific open-source developer, Kinoshita created the react.email framework and has authored over 100 Node packages for the software ecosystem. Additionally, he built the open-source products Taskr and Secret, which achieved the first and fourth spots on Product Hunt, respectively, highlighting his expertise in improving the developer experience.
