Bryan Pellegrino

Bryan Pellegrino is the co-founder and CEO of LayerZero Labs, an omnichain interoperability protocol based in San Francisco, California. Under his leadership, the company scaled its messaging network to support over 70 blockchains and secured more than $173 million from prominent investors including Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. In April 2023, he directed a $120 million Series B funding round that valued the enterprise at $3 billion, followed by the launch of the ZRO token in mid-2024. Before establishing LayerZero, Pellegrino worked as a professional poker player and transitioned into artificial intelligence by co-founding the machine learning firm Rho AI. He also previously developed RCN, a decentralized finance lending protocol that was subsequently acquired by MakerDAO. His current focus centers on advancing Web3 infrastructure and expanding cross-chain communication capabilities across the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.
