He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Syndax Pharmaceuticals, where he led the company through critical development phases. His extensive executive experience also includes significant leadership roles at major pharmaceutical giants. He was the Executive Vice President, Global Medicines Development and Chief Medical Officer at AstraZeneca, overseeing a vast pipeline of drug candidates. Prior to that, he held the position of Senior Vice President, Clinical Development and Translational Sciences at Pfizer, and was the Head of Oncology Development at Merck.

Morrison's deep understanding of drug development is underpinned by a robust medical and scientific background. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Further specializing, he completed an oncology fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
