Brett Huneycutt

Brett Huneycutt is the Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of Wealthsimple, based in New York, New York. In this role, he oversees product strategy, engineering, and data science for a consumer financial technology platform that manages over $18 billion in assets for approximately 3 million clients. Under his leadership, the firm secured a $750 million CAD investment round in 2021, achieving a $5 billion CAD valuation. Previously, he co-founded the Y Combinator-backed startup 1000memories, which was acquired by Ancestry.com in 2012, leading to his subsequent position as Director of Product. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and Company and studied as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. His current professional focus centers on scaling consumer fintech applications and developing comprehensive digital platforms for investing, trading, and tax filing.
