Brenden Prins-McKinney is the Los Angeles-based Co-founder and CEO of Duranium, a startup focused on reshoring critical metal production to build resilient United States domestic supply chains. Previously, he worked as a management consultant and research fellow at McKinsey and Company, where he advised the United States Department of Defense on reshoring critical chemical manufacturing. His earlier career includes serving as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs and co-founding PennyDrops, a financial literacy non-profit reaching tens of thousands of Canadian high school students. He also co-founded Zua Microfinance to launch an index-based microinsurance pilot program for thirty-five female subsistence farmers in Zambia. He is currently a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University, where he is pursuing a JD and a PhD in sociology after earning an undergraduate degree in economics from McGill University.
