Bradford Cross

Bradford Cross is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and author based in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently publishing the "Building Startups" Substack newsletter. He has founded at least seven technology companies across the artificial intelligence, financial technology, and digital health sectors, achieving multiple exits. His entrepreneurial track record includes launching the predictive startup FlightCaster, creating the news application Prismatic before its 2016 acquisition by Stitch Fix, and establishing Healthmode, which was acquired by the publicly traded biotechnology firm MindMed in February 2021. Beyond his operational roles, Cross previously served as a Managing Partner at the venture capital firm DCVC, where he invested in applied machine learning enterprises and supported a portfolio featuring companies like Recursion Pharmaceuticals and Ginkgo Bioworks.
