Bob Wei

Bob Wei is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Embedder, an artificial intelligence software startup based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2025 alongside Chief Executive Officer Ethan Gibbs, the four-employee enterprise is currently participating in the Silicon Valley-based Y Combinator Summer 2025 accelerator batch. In his technical leadership capacity, Wei directs the engineering and development of an AI coding agent specifically designed for firmware and microcontroller applications. The platform provides datasheet-aware tools and automated driver generation for prominent hardware systems, including Arduino, ESP32, and the Raspberry Pi Pico. Prior to establishing the company, he studied engineering at the University of Michigan before dropping out of his undergraduate program to pursue venture building full-time. His current professional focus centers on scaling Embedder's proprietary software to streamline complex hardware integration processes for embedded systems developers globally.
