Billy Thalheimer

Billy Thalheimer is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of REGENT, an aerospace manufacturing company based in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Before establishing the venture-backed firm in 2020, he led execution and business development for next-generation aircraft programs at Aurora Flight Sciences. He previously directed flight physics modeling for Boeing's electric air taxi initiative, where he authored the multinational corporation's proprietary custom aircraft design code. Thalheimer, who is also an active competitive aerobatic pilot, holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in aerospace engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Under his leadership, REGENT successfully flew its first subscale seaglider prototype in 2022 and has since secured billions of dollars in global commercial pre-orders. His current professional focus centers on aviation entrepreneurship and the commercialization of all-electric passenger seagliders to advance sustainable maritime mobility.
