Bilal Asmatullah

Bilal Asmatullah is the Co-founder of Sciloop, an artificial intelligence startup developing autonomous systems for machine learning research. Prior to launching the company, he worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology within the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (MIT CSAIL). He is currently on leave from his graduate studies in the AI and Decision Making program at MIT to focus full-time on his entrepreneurial venture. In 2025, his company was accepted into the Y Combinator Fall 2025 startup accelerator batch to further develop platforms that automate hypothesis generation, experiment design, and complex data analysis. Earlier in his academic career, he earned a medal at the 2022 International Physics Olympiad competition. His current focus centers on building deep technology infrastructure to fully automate end-to-end scientific computing and machine learning workflows.
