Bhavnick Minhas

Bhavnick Minhas is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Chonkie, an artificial intelligence startup currently backed by the accelerator Y Combinator. In this executive role, he leads the engineering and development of specialized AI agents designed specifically for deep research applications. These autonomous agents are engineered to analyze highly scattered data across both public and private sources to uncover non-obvious signals for enterprise users. Minhas directs the construction of the company's full data ingestion pipeline, overseeing critical technical processes such as document handling, data cleaning, text chunking, refining, and system integration. Additionally, his software development work focuses on building developer tools that improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation workflows for large language models. Minhas maintains a primary focus on scaling Chonkie's core infrastructure to provide robust document AI support for complex machine learning and data processing projects.
