Ben Maitland-Lewis

Ben Maitland-Lewis is the current Director of Startup Banking at Silicon Valley Bank, where he provides financial services and strategic support to early-stage technology companies. He began his early career touring internationally as a professional musician and tour manager before transitioning into the corporate music industry as a Marketing Director for SonyBMG. As a lifelong entrepreneur and Y Combinator W15 alumnus, he subsequently founded and served as Chief Executive Officer for two digital media startups that culminated in successful acquisitions. He built the first digital asset management platform for creative enterprises, which was acquired by Universal Music Group, and he later developed a roaming photography platform that sold to Snappr. Today, Maitland-Lewis leverages his dual background in creative media and technology to operate as an active angel investor and startup mentor focused on scaling emerging companies.
