Bas Kohnke

Bas Kohnke is an independent founder coach and angel investor who splits his time between Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Lisbon, Portugal. He previously served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Impraise, a B2B SaaS employee performance management platform that launched from the Y Combinator Summer 2014 batch. Kohnke scaled the venture-backed human resources technology startup over eight years, developing domain expertise in enterprise sales, product management, and culture building. He ultimately led the company to a successful acquisition by the unicorn coaching platform BetterUp in August 2021. Following this exit, he transitioned into an advisory role, building a portfolio of early-stage investments across the enterprise software and education technology sectors. His current professional focus centers on providing executive coaching to technology entrepreneurs, with a specialized emphasis on founder self-awareness and emotional well-being.
