Badal Jain

Badal Jain is the cofounder and Chief Technology Officer of Layup, a technology startup backed by Y Combinator and based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 2023 and selected for the YC W23 accelerator batch, Layup operates a specialized parts procurement platform designed to serve hardware engineers. Prior to launching Layup, Jain served as a Founding Engineer at an early venture and held software engineering positions at Amazon and Nvidia. During his tenure at these major technology corporations, he developed extensive engineering expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, and complex hardware and software integration. He successfully led the technical development of Layup through its initial seed funding rounds and a public beta launch in late 2024. Jain's current professional focus centers on building scalable SaaS infrastructure and integrating artificial intelligence to optimize the modern hardware supply chain.
