Awais Nemat is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chkk, a cloud infrastructure startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Under his leadership, the company emerged from stealth mode in October 2023 after securing a $5.2 million seed funding round led by Sequoia Capital. Before establishing Chkk, Nemat held a prominent executive role as the General Manager of Amazon EKS at Amazon Web Services. During his tenure at the cloud computing giant, he directed the operational strategy and technical management for one of the largest managed Kubernetes services in the global market. Nemat leverages his extensive background in distributed systems to build platforms that simplify complex infrastructure upgrades for engineering teams. His current professional focus centers on advancing B2B enterprise software solutions that proactively mitigate infrastructure risks and prevent container orchestration outages.
