Armand Cognetta

Armand Cognetta is the Founding General Partner at Dimension, a life sciences and technology venture capital firm that launched with a $350 million debut fund in January 2023. He previously earned a doctorate in chemical biology from the Scripps Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Benjamin Cravatt. During his academic tenure, Cognetta co-authored 19 scientific publications in prominent journals including Cell, Nature, and Science. He also holds multiple patents, including foundational intellectual property utilized by Vividion Therapeutics prior to its corporate acquisition by Bayer. Before entering the venture capital sector, he operated as an early employee at a biotechnology startup incubated by Flagship Pioneering. His current investment focus centers on leveraging his extensive chemical biology background to finance and build early-stage biotechnology and next-generation therapeutics companies across the broader life sciences industry.
