Anson Yu

Anson Yu is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Normal, an early-stage technology and software startup. He studies systems design engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he also serves as a coxswain for the varsity rowing team and co-authored academic research published in the scientific journal Nature. Prior to launching his current venture, Yu gained professional software engineering experience at Notion and Fuse, and he previously coordinated a recruitment pipeline of over 2,000 candidates for 43 Venture Partners. His broader professional portfolio includes sourcing climate experts for a media industry convening involving Paramount, HBO, and Netflix, as well as building Socratica, a collaborative project collective for engineers and artists. Yu currently focuses on leveraging his diverse background in software engineering, hardware prototyping, and clean energy development to scale his new technology enterprise.
