Ankit Singhal

Ankit Singhal is the co-founder and CEO of Anthrogen, an early-stage biotechnology and climate-tech startup based in San Francisco. Backed by Y Combinator as part of the S24 batch, the company recently closed its seed round to develop artificial intelligence foundation models trained on protein sequences and structures. Prior to founding Anthrogen in 2024, Singhal worked as a student researcher in process chemistry and catalysis at Roche from 2018 to 2022 and served as a data scientist at Bottneuro AG. He completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University, where he was recognized as a Science Research Fellow among the top ten STEM students in his class and conducted structural biology research. Recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, Singhal currently focuses on combining computational and wet lab methodologies to engineer novel therapies and catalysts.
