Ankit Nayan

Ankit Nayan is the co-founder of SigNoz, an open-source application performance monitoring and observability platform designed for software developers. He established the developer tools company as a direct open-source alternative to proprietary enterprise software like DataDog, successfully guiding the emerging startup through the highly competitive Y Combinator W21 batch in early 2021. Under his technical leadership, SigNoz secured $1.2 million in initial seed funding in August 2021 and has since accumulated thousands of stars on GitHub for its core repository. Prior to launching his current entrepreneurial venture, Nayan worked in the financial services sector, holding a technical engineering role at Citi. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His current professional focus remains on advancing open-source software architecture and building scalable observability infrastructure for global engineering teams.
