Anish Gupta

Anish Gupta is the CEO and Co-Founder of PlayVision, an AI-powered sports analytics platform based in San Francisco, California. He is currently completing a computer science degree at UC Berkeley, where he previously worked as a scout for Cal Athletics manually tracking player statistics. After an eye injury ended his own athletic career, Gupta launched the two-person startup to automate basketball practice and game analysis using advanced computer vision technology. The company was recently accepted into the Y Combinator Fall 2025 batch and won the university's SCET Collider Cup XIV in May 2024. PlayVision has already secured strategic partnerships with several collegiate athletic programs across major United States athletic conferences, including the SEC, BIG 10, and BIG EAST. Gupta focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to modernize high school and college sports recruitment and performance evaluation.
