Andrew Nedea

Andrew Nedea is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Metalware, a business-to-business firmware cybersecurity and developer tools startup based in San Francisco, California. He currently directs the technical strategy, software engineering, and product execution for the growing four-employee company, which was selected to participate in the Y Combinator accelerator program's Summer 2023 cohort. Prior to establishing Metalware, Nedea developed extensive technical expertise in hardware security and embedded systems through specialized engineering roles at several major technology corporations, including SpaceX, Amazon Robotics, and Autodesk. His professional background spans multiple complex frontier technology industries, requiring rigorous hardware-software integration across the aerospace, advanced robotics, and computer-aided design software sectors. Today, Nedea's primary operational focus centers on building modern developer tools that leverage machine learning-based vulnerability detection to automate security workflows for hardware engineers and microcontroller systems.
