Anand Valavalkar

Anand Valavalkar is the Co-founder and CEO of Twine, an artificial intelligence software startup based in San Francisco, California. Backed by Y Combinator in 2023, Twine develops AI-powered text-message receptionists that support hundreds of small businesses and have captured millions of dollars in missed revenue. Before launching his current venture, Valavalkar worked as a software developer at Superhuman, where he launched the Smart Links feature, and built web applications for Vestaboard. His early entrepreneurial background includes founding an audio-visual and network installation company during high school that generated over $100,000 in annual revenue, alongside winning the 2019 Congressional App Challenge with software that reached 40,000 users. Valavalkar holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and currently focuses on leveraging large language models to automate customer engagement.
