Alistair Scott

Alistair Scott is the Co-Founder of Infracost, an open-source cloud cost estimation platform, and is based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He launched the company through the Y Combinator W21 batch and subsequently secured a $2.2 million seed funding round led by Sequoia Capital in August 2021. Under his technical leadership, Infracost has developed infrastructure pricing visibility tools that are currently utilized by major enterprise engineering teams, including those at Sony, Disney, and Netflix. Prior to his current venture, Scott served as a Senior Software Engineer at RightScale and gained early industry experience as a Quality Assurance Summer Intern at Opera Software. He also previously co-founded AbarCloud in 2012, building a strong technical foundation in cloud infrastructure and software development. His career remains focused on advancing cloud computing, DevOps methodologies, and open-source financial operations software solutions.
