Ali Khajeh-Hosseini

Ali Khajeh-Hosseini is the Co-founder leading Product and Customer Success at Infracost, based in the United Kingdom. He holds a PhD in cloud cost modeling from the University of St Andrews, completing his thesis on supporting system deployment decisions in public clouds. Before establishing Infracost, he spent over a decade working in cloud infrastructure and co-founded two startups, AbarCloud and PlanForCloud, the latter of which was successfully acquired by RightScale. In 2021, he guided Infracost through the Y Combinator W21 batch and secured $2.2 million in seed funding to develop an open-source cost estimation platform. His previous cloud infrastructure technologies have been utilized by major enterprise clients, including Sony, Samsung, and Forbes. Khajeh-Hosseini currently focuses on integrating automated, developer-first FinOps tools directly into engineering workflows to optimize cloud expenses for large global enterprises.
