Alexander Kwan

Alexander Kwan is an independent angel investor and advisor based in Los Angeles, California, known for his foundational roles at Relativity Space and SpaceX. He began his career in traditional finance with positions across investment banking, hedge funds, and private equity before transitioning to the commercial aerospace sector to work in sales at SpaceX. Kwan is best recognized for his tenure as the second employee and Head of Finance, Strategy, and Business Operations at Relativity Space. In this critical leadership capacity, he built the advanced manufacturing company's corporate functions from the ground up and helped scale it into a highly valued deep tech and aerospace unicorn. During his time there, the startup successfully launched the world's first 3D-printed Terran 1 rocket, raised over $1.3 billion in venture capital, and reached a $4.2 billion valuation in 2023.
