Alexander Harmsen

Alexander Harmsen is the CEO and Co-founder of PortfolioPilot, an AI-powered personal financial advisor platform based in San Francisco, California. Under his leadership, the wealth management platform has scaled to manage over $30 billion in assets under advisement. Previously, he founded and served as CEO of Iris Automation, an autonomous vehicle software company where he raised over $30 million in venture capital, secured regulatory approvals across nine countries, and led the firm to a strategic acquisition in 2023. Earlier in his career, he worked as a software engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory after earning a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of British Columbia. He currently advises deep tech and SaaS companies like VeriSIM Life, maintaining a core focus on scaling artificial intelligence applications within highly regulated and complex capital-intensive industries.
