Alexander Dungate

Alexander Dungate is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of OnDeck Fisheries AI, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He established the ocean technology startup in 2022 to develop computer vision and artificial intelligence solutions for commercial fisheries monitoring and compliance. Under his leadership, the company automates electronic catch tracking to help manage marine populations and has secured victories in multiple industry pitch competitions. Dungate is also recognized globally as a National Geographic Explorer for his field research and technological contributions to environmental conservation. Prior to founding the company, he earned a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Biology, providing the academic foundation for his interdisciplinary approach to marine biology. Dungate's current focus centers on building scalable conservation technology to advance sustainable fisheries management and address global environmental challenges through automated visual analysis.
